Rote Raben: A volleyball team who has never lost its grip

The sport volleyball in the charming town Vilsbiburg has a long tradition. From these modest beginnings a volleyball department has been built by a handful of volleyball enthusiasts, which had already been done in the 80s made it into the first volleyball league; Vilsbiburg exclusively with home-grown. Eight teenage boys volleyball enthusiasts have come together under the auspices of Ekkehard Wetzel and on 2 October 1971, the Department established, then called "Turn Games" in TSV, and later in Division Volleyball TSV. They named in Rote Raben Vilsbiburg to and provided with an attractive program that every home game Rote Raben to a social event was. A path that many others have now taken the Bundesliga as well.
Yet Rote Raben put not taking high flight and not lose the grip. Thanks to sound fiscal policy, they developed step by step and have worked in the German Volleyball scene a pleasant sounding name. Under coach Michael Schöps managed the team twice - 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 - to fight for the runner-up title.
